Coming
Back to Jesus |
Returning to Jesus is a trying moment in any Christians life. It is a moment when you agree with him you did what came natural or automatic to the " Common Man "--- SINNING . Whether it has been for a moment or over a time, the important thing is: You recognize it and see it as God sees it.
This is a blessing whether you realize it or not. Most of the time, Christians go for the rest of their lives in this peril and don't want to ever correct and get out of disobedience. That is the the most miserable place for a Christian to be.
Repeat this simple to God as you read it if this is what you want to do.
Dear Jesus:
The way I have been acting in front of you and others is not what you had
planned or appreciated at all. I disappointed you and I am sorry. I am asking
you to forgive me and restoring me into the person you had changed when you
saved in the past.
Things maybe different now, but you aren't. So, I will need some direction to
go by that comes from you. Thank you for listening to me and the help you will
provide for the rest of my life.
AMEN!!!!
One story comes to mind---Jonah and the Whale. Jonah was
disobedient to God.
During his time in disobedience, he went out to sea on a voyage. This voyage
took Jonah in the opposite direction God wanted him to go. As a result, Jonah
went overboard and was swallowed up by a whale.
After being in the whale for a short period of time, the whale had his belly full of Jonah and spit him out. Jonah did what you finished doing---He prayed to God for forgiveness and was obedient to God, thereafter.
Scripture says:
"Come unto me that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my
yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly at heart, and you
will find rest unto your souls. For my burden is easy and my yoke is light."
"For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward
those that fear him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has he removed
our transgressions from us."
"And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to
one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective,
fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
