Trip Planning

Plan and do a one-mile an one mile hike and cook out. You will learn to keep notes in a trip log and find out how valuable it is to tell about the good and bad things. You will learn what to do when you are lost. Return to the top

Equipment and Shelter

You will learn what to wear in the the four different seasons of the year. Return to the top

Rope Craft

You will learn how to tie an overhand knot, a square knot, and a clove hitch. Return to the top

Toolcraft

You will learn the proper way to take care of , to pass, and to use a knife. Return to the top

Fire Craft

You will learn how to use and to take care of matches. You will learn what tinder, kindling, and fuel and how to prepare these three different fuels for a three minute camp fire. You will also how to build, start, and properly put out one kind of fire site. Return to the top

Cooking

First Aid

Learn how to take care of a burn, cut, or a bruise. Return to the top

Safety and Sanitation

Show how to hike safely on a road and how to identify and follow simple trail signs. Return to the top

You will know the different parts of a compass. You will learn how to use a compass on a hike using everything that is on a trail. Return to the top

Nature Study

You will learn how to identify two harmful plants and two different harmful animals. Return to the top

Conservation

You will learn and understand the conservation pledge and show how to show the practices on a hike or a camp out. Return to the top
