You will need to go on some hikes or an over night camp out using you camping
skills. You will learn what a trip log is, the importance of it, and how to
use it.

You will learn what clothes to pack for the different times of the year and
make different kinds of sleeping arrangements. Also, you will have a chance to
learn how to pitch different kinds of tents and how to take care of them.

You will learn the four categories of knots. They are joiner knot, stopper
knot, loop knot, and end-secure knot. Guess what? You've already learned how to
tie them. Can you identify what knots you've learned and put them in the right
categories? You will learn a new knot and find out what category it goes in.
You will also learn how to whip rope and find out how valuable it is to rope.

You will learn the proper use and care of a bow saw.

You will learn the rules of fire in your area. Also, you will learn how to
build two types of fires and learn how to properly put out the fires you've
built.

There are four ways to cook, but you will learn to cook two different ways and
how to plan a well-balanced meal.

Learn how to build and equip a "First-Aid Kit" and keep it updated.

You will show you know how to dispose of trash properly. You will learn how to
make a chapter latrine in a camp site.

|
You will learn the length of your pace and see how important it is when you use
a compass. When you learn that, you will learn how to follow a compass course.
|
|
You will learn how to identify two harmful insects and two
beneficial insects.
|
|
You will learn about private, local, or state run conservation projects and
know how important they are.
|
|
You will share a good hiking song and a missionary story on a camp out.
